Throughout my adulthood, I have struggled with my weight. I have lost some,
gained some of it back, etc. In 2006, I made a conscious decision to take it off and
keep it off. For the most part, I was successful and lost about 30 pounds. Although
I have maintained a lifestyle that included a regular workout, over the past year, I
noticed the number on the scale start creeping up again. While I enjoy living in
denial (a place where donuts are considered a necessary part of my diet), my
jeans were telling me another story. After a close friend joined Max Results Boot
Camp, she suggested that I do it too. I was looking for something to enhance my
boring gym workout and this was it. After a few weeks at boot camp, I was hooked.
And skinnier! I have lost about 10lbs since I started. Although tweaking my diet
definitely helped, I believe that the real changes came from adding boot camp to
my regular exercise routine. As much as I hate getting up so early (I do the 6 am
class), there was an immediate change in my energy levels as well as my physique.
I like that James is constantly challenging and pushing us (to the brink of violence).
He has us doing different exercises everyday so my body is always working. I
committed to doing it for 6 weeks; I’m now on my second go-round of a 6 week
session and I’ve convinced one of my friends to join. :)
